ICD-10

International Classification of Diseases (10th revision) — standard diagnosis codes.

ICD-10 is the WHO's tenth revision of the International Classification of Diseases — the standard set of codes used to record diagnoses on visits and claims. ICD-10-CM is the US clinical-modification variant.

Scribes that suggest ICD codes from the conversation save real time, but they're also a place hallucination can cause harm — an invented or incorrect code can affect billing and the patient's problem list.
